THE ONLY 5 SKINCARE PRODUCTS YOU REALLY NEED
Skincare got complicated somewhere along the way. Twelve-step routines, conflicting actives and a bathroom cabinet that looks increasingly like a laboratory. We prefer to keep things simple. Two steps in the morning. Two at night. And one little beauty habit from within.

GOOD MORNING, BADDIE
01. HYALURONIC ACID + VITAMIN C
A. hydrate (hyaluronic acid)
Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in your skin and has an impressive ability to bind water. Applied topically, it acts as a humectant, helping to attract and retain moisture at the skin's surface. We like applying it to slightly damp skin, then following with the rest of our routine.
We love the Revitalift Filler Anti-Rimpel Volumegevend Serum met PDRN.
B. protect & glow (vitamin C)
It's an antioxidant, which is one reason it makes sense in a morning routine. Topical vitamin C has been studied for its role in protecting against oxidative stress, pigmentation and collagen synthesis. A few drops before your moisturizer and you're good to go.
Pro tip: look for a serum with both hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. One product, two steps covered. We love the Revitalift Laser Tri-Peptides Age-Correcting Serum. This isn't sponsored by L'Oréal, promise! We just really like it.
02. MOISTURIZER + SPF
protect
Another multitasker. A moisturizer helps support your skin barrier and keep moisture in. SPF helps protect your skin from UV radiation. Combine the two and your morning routine just got considerably shorter.
We'd look for broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Personally, we go for 50. That's the important bit: combining moisturizer and sunscreen is convenient, but only if you're actually getting adequate sun protection from the amount you use.
We love the La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVmune 400 Hydraterende Cream SPF50+. It also comes in a tinted version, which we love too.
Pro tip: if you're prone to acne, look for non comedogenic products (which our recommendations are), so you don't clog your pores.
GOOD NIGHT, BADDIE
03. RETINOID
the heavy lifter
Retinoids are among the best-studied ingredients in skincare, with evidence behind their use for acne, pigmentation and signs of photoaging.
Use at night and start slowly if your skin isn't used to it. A small amount a few evenings a week is a much better introduction than declaring war on your skin barrier on Monday night.
Pro tip: if you're considering a stronger retinoid or you're not sure what works for your skin, talk to your dermatologist. They can help you find the right option for your skin and your goals.
04. MOISTURIZER
recover
And we're back to our old friend. After all those exciting active ingredients, sometimes your skin just wants moisture and a happy barrier.
No twelve-step nighttime ritual required.
